Yvon Eggen

Classes: Wednesdays 6-7:15pm & Thursdays 10-11:15am
Yoga Style: Hatha
My name is Yvon and I teach Hatha yoga in Hampshire. I am a qualified yoga teacher with FRYOG since July 2019. My nationality is Dutch and love brought me to England 10 years ago.
Most of my working life I spent as a professional dancer. It brought me the most wonderful memories to cherish and a heap of fun, creative, crazy, loving friends for life! But as much I adored my dancer’s life, I do wish sometimes I found my love for yoga in those years. It would have prevented a lot of unnecessary physical injuries and been a fantastic mental support. But as they say, better late then never!
About 8 years ago I started to practice yoga on a more regular basis and that’s where my love for yoga slowly began… Although it took me a while to slow down in my practice and learn to work ‘less’ hard. I slowly started to really listen to my body and mind, realizing what is was craving for!
Finding the essence of what a yoga practice meant to me came many years later…
What I LOVE about my yoga practice is creating and giving myself time to find awareness of my needs, both physically and most certainly mentally. Checking in with myself, standing still, observing and nourishing what the body and mind is asking for. Which will be different everyday.
I LOVE a slower paced practice, no matter what yoga style. Slow does not always mean it’s the easy way!
All levels are welcome in my class. I think everyone is good at yoga, as long as you work with YOUR body and YOUR needs.
Please feel free to contact me if you want to have a chat first before starting your journey in yoga.

Victoria Beale

Classes: Tuesdays 6-7pm, Wednesdays 7:30-8:30pm
Yoga Style: Yin & Vinyasa
Hi, I’m Victoria, a heart-led nature lover, wife and mother of three who believes in innate wildness, cyclical living and deep body wisdom. Having nearly two decades of professional experience firstly in dance and movement and then later, as an NHS assistant clinical psychologist I view and advocate health and wellbeing from a holistic perspective. I now teach yoga, meditation, embodied movement, breathwork, yoga nidra, and womb connection, all from a trauma sensitive perspective. Since 2018 I have facilitated women’s circles and I am a keen advocate for community and inclusive women’s health.
To me, yoga is a living art form. It is the art of remembering and tending to our true nature. I use the healing mechanisms of yoga, breath, meditation, deep restorative rest and somatic practices to build awareness of the felt sense, unwind any resistances and embody our full authentic expression. Movement and breath work has guided me back home to my body and helped me find peace within – it is how I learnt to reconnect with my body. It has allowed me to see the beauty in how it moves and to be grateful for ALL it communicates to me every single day.
My yoga classes at LV Yoga are based on vinyasa flow which synchronises breath and movement as you flow through the postures and transitions.  From dynamic empowering flows to slow “earthy” flows my classes are like moving meditations with room for explorative play. Whilst flowing sequences form a large part of my teaching style I also encourage the softer, more grounded opening yin poses to encourage restoration and surrender. I seek to offer an inclusive, safe and fun environment where my guidance and offerings to you are always an invitation. During practices I deeply encourage you to tune into your own body with curiosity and compassion to explore what YOU need, right in that moment, helping you build more autonomy, deeper understanding and trust in yourself.
I offer private 1:1 classes, group classes, workshops and retreats.
Regardless of whether you have practiced for years, or are just dipping your toe in the water, you are welcome!

Jane Sukhu

Classes: Tuesdays 7:30-8:30pm
Yoga Style: Restorative
My name is Jane, I have been practising yoga since 1999. I started my practice as an antidote to my busy life. Over the years I have practised different styles of yoga and delved a little deeper into my practice.
I am a Yoga Alliance Professional Certified Teacher. I offer online classes, 121s and group classes. My teaching style is a gentle style of yoga – gentle flow and restorative. I also offer Chair yoga.

I will be teaching Restorative Yoga at LV Yoga.
A Restorative Yoga practice helps to counter the stresses and strains of daily life by cultivating attention on ease and relaxation. Allowing the body to access  the Parasympathetic Nervous System. Restorative poses invoke ease, you are fully supported by a variety of props. Having the support of the props allows you to fully release into the posture with no muscle tension. Uninterrupted rest so that the senses can turn inward, allowing the Parasympathetic Nervous System to do its healing work. Strengthening the PNS has many benefits, a few examples are:
  • Improved immunity
  • Deeper sleep
  • Balanced hormones and blood sugar levels
I look forward to welcoming you to the studio and sharing a Restorative practice with you.
